Troubleshooting for 92261A / 51604A Cartridges

HP ThinkJet Jet Paper Cartridge (92261A)
HP ThinkJet Plain Paper Cartridge (51604A)


Problem:Cause:
No PrintAir Bubble Latency
Solution:
Hold cartridge over sink or trash can, and use end of paper clip to push through the back of cartridge on bladder. This will force the air bubble out with a drop of ink. With water-moistened paper towel, gently wipe off the jet area.
Problem:Cause:
No PrintElectrical Continuity Break
Solution:
Check to see that the screw location in the jet plate area is flush with the plate; if it is not, tighten the screw. If screw is not flush, electrical contact will be terminated.
Problem:Cause:
Faded Print/No PrintPaper Dust
Solution:
Holding cartridge over sink or trash can, use water-moistened paper towel or cotton swab to gently clean jet plate area.
Problem:Cause:
Seepage from Jet PlateReservoir Overfill
Solution:
If there is seepage from the jet area of cartridge during or after filling process, the cartridge has been overfilled. Place the jet area on a paper towel for a period of 3-5 minutes to draw out the excess ink.
Problem:Cause:
Seepage from Fill HoleReservoir Overfill
Solution:
If there is seepage from the fill hole, STOP filling process... cartridge is full. Reduce pressure on the refill bottle and draw out some of the excess ink.
Problem:Cause:
No PrintDry Jet Area
Solution:
Occurs when the cartridge has not been used for a period of time. Using a paper clip end, gently push on the bladder from the back of the cartridge to force a drop of ink from the jet plate.
